Each night she hides her face from us,

Each night she hides her face from us,

Her light can no longer be seen-

The moon will try to fill her void,

But fails to share her true gleam.

Sometimes she is cursed a taint-

And others praised a blessing.

Burning our flesh, kissing our cheeks-

She’s everything but depressing.

Dabbing up tears and yesterday’s puddles,

She’ll prepare a new rainy day

She reveals the world in its many colors,

And meanwhile, she’ll fade them away.

Her every beam is dangerous,

But still we soak up her day…

Vitamin D and cancer:

It’s death and bliss in each ray.
